Nearly 30,000 Care2 members have pledged not to support puppy mills. Thank you so much for being one of them!

Puppy mills are brutal dog breeeding facilities that treat animals as though they are machines. Will you join the growing movement boycotting these terribly cruel facilities by asking your friends to sign the petition too?

Puppy mills breed dogs in endless cycles until they can no longer use their broken bodies. The facility owners then simply discard the animals like trash! We cannot just stand by and let people treat puppies and adult dogs in this way!

That's why it's crucial that you send an email to your friends and family, share the petition on Facebook, and send a tweet to ask your network to support the cause.

Here's a quick message you can copy and send to rally support:

Hi -

The overwhelming majority of puppies sold by pet stores come from cruel and inhumane puppy mills. These dog-making factories force adult dogs to spend their entire miserable lives in cramped cages or kennels with little or no personal attention or quality of life. When their bodies are broken from constantly being bred, the dogs are discarded or killed. Pet stores that care about treating animals humanely simply don't sell puppies! That's why I pledged not to support pet stores that sell puppies and I hope you will too.
